Currently, Linda's Grooming Palace is not able to take on any new clients. We are booked out through the end of fall. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you'll check back with us in a few months.
Don't shave me!
During the summer months we receive many requests to "shave" or "shorten" dog coats so that they won't be so hot and miserable. It's important to know, however, that there are many breeds where this actually has the opposite effect. Also, shaving down one of these breeds can do permanent damage to their coat. Here is an excellent article covering the do's and don'ts of shaving down a double-coated breed dog. This refers to breeds such as Golden Retrievers, Chow Chows, Newfoundlands, Huskies, and more. It is a myth that shaving them will "cool them down." Click HERE to read more.
"inclement weather alert"
ATTENTION CLIENTS: We just want to remind our clients that it's very important to have your driveways and walkways cleared of snow and/or ice when we come to groom your dogs. My groomers have been instructed not to enter a driveway or walkway that looks unsafe. For the safety of the girls and your dogs, if there is ice and too much snow covering where they need to park and walk, we will have to cancel your appointment which could result in a cancellation fee.
Also, we ask your patience on these days as the weather can affect our grooming schedule, causing either a late arrival or the need to cancel and reschedule. The safety of our groomers and the vans must be our priority. We know sometimes this creates an inconvenience for our clients, and we do our best to meet the demands of the schedule, but we cannot take risks. We ask your understanding in this matter.
